Mobile TV Movie: TV Highlights on Your Cellphone Courtesy of Netbiscuits

The TV guide with MovieStar is available on cell phones

Germany’s toughest movie team is taking vigorous mobile action. Starting today, TV Movie, a TV guide with amongst the highest circulation and greatest coverage in Europe, is expanding its cross-media offering. Besides three print titles, two online websites and numerous EPGs, there is now a mobile portal available at mobil.tvmovie.de. Netbiscuits, the leading international software platform for the creation, publication, and monetization of mobile websites, has realized the easy-to-operate mobile portal for TV Movie.

Thanks to Netbiscuits, cell phone users can now choose their TV program on their way home. What classic film will be on TV this evening? What’s on TV at the moment? Mobile TV Movie offers the entire TV guide under “Now on TV”, as well as primetime programs, all movies for the day and the “Tip of the day” with just one click. The mobile portal from TV Movie, the TV guide with the “MovieStar”, is intuitive and easy to use. Tag cloud navigation enables users to get to the desired information quickly.

The mobile TV Movie portal is based on RSS feeds: Current content is automatically updated on the PC website and the mobile website simultaneously. “RSS feeds are a simple and cost-effective solution to incorporate the customer’s backend systems using standardized interfaces,” says Michael Neidhöfer, CEO of Netbiscuits.

“Our mobile portal provides an up-to-date overview of all TV highlights even when you are traveling. With the help of Netbiscuits, we were able to launch our mobile channel quickly and cost-effectively. We are very satisfied with the high-quality, easy-to-use and optically extremely appealing solution,” explains Erik Zimmermann, General Manager of tvmovie.de. Users can test the new product in advance at handysimulator.tvmovie.de for a variety of end devices.
